U15 Boys Round 3 - 28 April Surfside vs. Bell Park SC

Surfside scores first goal of the season, with the team demonstrating amazing improvement!

The boys were fired up for a re-match against Bell Park SC, who beat them 11-0 in the first round. They fought hard and showed a great desire to seek revenge, but unfortunately were beaten 3-1.
This was an amazing improvement on round one and demonstrates that they are really starting to play as a group. Clearly they are capitalising on their development in training and this is showing on game day. The passing was great to see and the team’s effort as a whole was a good indicator that the boys really want to be there and do well.
Excitingly, the boys scored their first goal of the season, with a team effort of crosses leading up to a brilliant goal by Daniel F, outmanoeuvering the goalie and shooting the ball into the opposite corner.
Other noteworthy efforts were undertaken by:
• Danial A, who while playing as a striker, dashingly dropped back to bolster the defence line on a number of occasions;
• Ross, who continued his sterling efforts of saving numerous goals in defence; and
• Hunta who worked hard as goalie under pressure and without whom the result would have been a lot worse.
